Abstract

Let us share with you how we run MediaWiki internally at Facebook. With integrating it into the larger pre-existing infrastructure and code base; starting with the HipHop Virtual Machine and going through our load balancing, caching layers, databases and internal search. In addition to these unique solutions another important part is disaster recovery, there is a need to provide documents in the moments when they are most needed.

Let us also show how we think the Mediawiki Foundation can benefit from some of our changes by spending less money and delivering higher quality service.
