EtherEditor is an extension which allows collaborative editing of Wiki Pages via Etherpad Lite. My talk will cover - how the extension was built with explanations of both the MediaWiki Extension Framework and Etherpad Lite plugin. Also, a little bit of the features and how they work will also be explained. The talk would be on the idea of collaboration, technology and beyond.

Detailed proposal

I, being an OPW Intern could present a talk on the project I am currently working on. My project, EtherEditor is an extension which allows collaborative editing of Wiki Pages via Etherpad Lite. My talk will cover - how the extension was built with explanations of both the MediaWiki Extension Framework and Etherpad Lite plugin. Also, a little bit of the features and how they work will also be explained. The talk would be on the idea of collaboration, technology and beyond. After all, Free and Open Source world would not be the same without the very idea of collaboration. As it is now my OPW project, I could talk about my accomplishments in these three months as well, and how people can contribute to make it even better!
