Abstract

India - the 7th largest country in the world. The country with 2nd largest population and population density of 324 person per square kilometer. The country where the people wants to be educated. India has a wide scope, large human resource and indeed creative minds. Wiki-versity the source of free education is the key and the show stopper of the knowledge carnival which India awaits.

This presentation will throw light upon how the people of India is adapting to the fast growing virtual world. How Wikipedia is helping not only internet savvy generation in their college/school assignment and also the professionals in their field of work. This presentation will also discuss various restrictions that are imposed for the sake of "security" and "integrity" by the government and how freedom of expression is not so free.
