I want to hear from you. I'll be at Wikimania 2013 looking for inspiring stories from contributors from all over the movement, as well I'll be documenting Wikimania 2013 itself.
The best way to reach me is by email at vgrigas (at) wikimedia (dot) org
Hi!
My name is Victor Grigas.
I'm a storyteller for the Wikimedia Foundation and have been a volunteer contributor to Wikipedia since 2005. Here is my user page.
I started at the Wikimedia Foundation in 2011. My role is to shine a spotlight on how Wikipedia and all the Wikiprojects affect the real world and to contextualize Wikipedia and the movement for the general public. For example, here is the 'Thank You' campaign from 2012.
Here are a few snapshots of me interviewing Wikipedians over the years:
-
Here I am interviewing Dr. Sengai Podhuvan in India
-
Here I am documenting a class of High School students who want free access to Wikipedia on their cellphones (in Cape Town, South Africa)
-
Here I am interviewing editor Antonu in Russia
-
Here I am interviewing editor aerolitz in Brazil
