tec level

Hi Yurik, what tec level are you pitching this at? You can assume that pretty much everyone present will be a Wikimedian and very familiar with editing Wikipedia, but otherwise your potential audience is quite diverse, and it would help if you gave an indication as to how techy one needs to be to follow your presentation. Thanks. WereSpielChequers (talk) 20:45, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi WereSpielChequers, I don't think the group will be that diverse - I don't want to do programming 101 :), but more of an average developer who might want to integrate with wiki, but is not sure how to procede. I guess there could be two tracks - one for devs and one for research people, although the research tends to work mostly with the data dumps. --Yurik (talk) 22:11, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Yurik, it sounds like this is going to be more how one does this than what is possible if you have a tame developer willing to do you a few favours. If you do run a what is possible version I'd be very interested in that track, but I suspect my development skills are too rusty to benefit from the dev track. Detailed proposal

It may be hard for the programme committee to respond to what the format should be until they have a better understanding of what you see as the differences between the options. Can you use your detailed proposal to explain more about what the options are and how you would structure them differently?

Thank you! --Varnent (talk)(COI) 04:44, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
