Talk:Getting to Hong Kong

From Wikimania 2013 • Hong Kong

I'm sure someone is working on this already, but fee estimates for the trains from the PRC would be helpful, as would fee estimates for housing in Hong Kong. --Philosopher Let us reason together. 07:16, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Air Fare NEWARK - HONG KONG - Nonstop

I see air fares for Newark - Hong Kong round trip on United, non-stop, for only $1116 for next spring. I will post fares early in 2013 when August 2013 fares are available. Please do not post absurdly high fares in the table. --Dthomsen8 (talk) 17:39, 2 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The fares on the table were quoted on 23 February 2012 as shown in the footnote. Thanks for telling us a new deal came out! Deryck Chan (talk) 20:50, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Travel Discounts

I noticed that the DC folks managed to get discounts on UA, some SkyTeam members and Amtrak for Wikimania 2012 attendees. Wondering if it's possible to get discounts on CX/KA, or even the entire oneworld next year :-P --tOMG 13:43, 18 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Potentially cheaper fight to Hongkong using nearby airports

For example, from Seoul to Macau which are only one hour ferry away from Hong Kong, round trip with taxes are just US$408.3 with taxes for 1 stop and US$487.47 for non-stop, compare to US$439 and US$594 listed in the table.[1], or, from Shanghai to Shenzhen, only 299CNY(~64USD) for one way trip, and approximately the same for return, compared to 298USD listed there for directly go to Hong Kong.[2] Would it be better to include these options?
