Abstract

With increasing pressure for chapters and other Wikimedia organizations to demonstrate good governance practices, Peer review is proving a pragmatic and effective way of providing evidence to support grants and a means of implementing our commitment to transparency and openness.

Detailed proposal

With increasing pressure for chapters and other Wikimedia organizations to demonstrate good governance practices, Peer review is proving a pragmatic and effective way of providing evidence to support grants and a means of implementing our commitment to transparency and openness. This workshop consists of a summary of lessons learned from Peer reviews conducted to date, a walk through of the tools currently available and an opportunity for community feedback on the ways to encourage wider commitment to this form of self-governance rather than expensive external assessments.
