Talk:Submissions/Ask the developers

From Wikimania 2013 • Hong Kong

Dialogue between the devs and the community is a great idea. Two things I'd like to suggest the devs consider, firstly how can we integrate Bugzilla into the wikis? Ideally I'd like to see Bugzilla reports transcludable into any wiki in such a way as people linking to them and commenting on them from that wiki experience them as a page on that wiki, whilst people finding them from Bugzilla experience them as if they are still on Bugzilla, just with added community involvement. Oh and after the AFT experience on EN Wikipedia we really could do with a quicker way to stop problematic and controversial developments at an earlier stage. I'm not sure if these topics actually can have a proper place in a session like this. One is very technical in nature, the other one is most probably a long debate, that may be a session in itself. Ideally we deal with questions from the audience and give each of the five minutes at most, so that a good number of topics can be dealt with. Wkitech-l or wikimedia-l would be mailing lists for the two topics you describe above. --Siebrand (talk) 21:53, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
